The company has actively addressed its environmental impact by targeting both direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions:
Scope 1, which encompasses direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, the company has undertaken a comprehensive energy audit to pinpoint areas of high carbon output and energy inefficiencies within their operations. This diagnostic approach paved the way for the implementation of tangible energy-saving initiatives, such as the installation of energy-efficient lighting and the optimization of HVAC systems. Furthermore, they have instituted waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize their environmental footprint, alongside promoting sustainable transportation options among employees, including carpooling and public transit incentives.
Scope 2, the company has committed to further advancing its decarbonization efforts. This commitment is demonstrated through investments in cutting-edge, energy-efficient technologies and equipment to enhance operational efficiency. A significant stride has been made in transitioning to renewable energy sources by sourcing a substantial portion of their electricity from solar and wind power. Recognizing the importance of a holistic approach, the company is actively collaborating with suppliers and partners to promote sustainable practices throughout their supply chain.
